Our Story
Since 2005, we’ve been on a mission to reinvent what vinyl flooring can be. Our founding team of flooring engineers saw an industry stuck in a cycle of compromise — homeowners forced to choose between floors that looked beautiful and floors that could survive real life. We refused to accept that tradeoff, so we set out to build something better.
After years of development, we perfected an innovative technology we call COREtec — an engineered composite core that gave our floors unmatched stability, rigidity, and waterproof performance. That breakthrough became the foundation of every SmartCore product. In 2016, Shaw Industries recognized the potential of our technology and brought SmartCore into its portfolio of leading flooring brands, giving us the resources to innovate faster and reach more homes across America.

What We Engineer
We design and manufacture premium waterproof vinyl plank and tile flooring across multiple collections — each engineered for specific lifestyles and performance demands. Our SmartCore Ultra line uses a WPC (Wood-Plastic Composite) core with integrated cork underlayment for the warmest, quietest feel underfoot. Our SmartCore Pro series features an SPC (Stone-Plastic Composite) core with limestone reinforcement for maximum scratch and dent resistance.
Our SmartCore Naturals collection takes a different approach entirely — we bond genuine hardwood veneers to a waterproof mineral core, delivering authentic wood beauty with modern moisture protection. Across every collection, we mill precision click-lock profiles that allow DIY installation without adhesive, nails, or professional help. We believe beautiful flooring shouldn’t require a contractor.
